the commission to commence the prosecution of 52 persons allegedly indicted by the Justice Kpojime Commission of inquiry in Benue state. Kuanum Terrence, the national coordinator of the group, who addressed reporters in Makurdi said the aim of their action would be to compel the anti-graft agency to commence the prosecution of those indicted by the panel, Vanguard reports. Ortom lauds EFCC over arrest of lawmakers He said: “We are bothered that after the report of Justice Elizabeth Kpojime Commission of enquiry which indicted former Governor Gabriel Suswam and 51 persons for allegedly looting Benue State treasury was submitted to the EFCC, the matter has been swept under the carpet. We have resolved to occupy the head office of the commission in protest over their inaction and after 72 hours, if they still fail to commence the prosecution of those indicted.” In reaction, Job Tsegha, the former senior special assistant to former Governor Gabriel Suswam, said the agitation of the MBRM came late as a high court in Makurdi recently quashed the report of the panel. “I am not sure the MBRM is conversant with the developments in Benue state because the Kpojime report has already been quashed by a Makurdi high court.
